If contemplating getting a Finnish Lapphund puppy please do your research, make sure they really are the right breed for you, also make a point of meeting the breed. It is important you acquaint yourself with Breeders that follow a Code of Ethics, which is intended to protect the future health and quality of the breed. Copies of the relevant certification should be available for you to view. We here at Finnesse are more than happy to supply that.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION
The goal of our breeding program here at Finnesse is to produce versatile Finnish Lapphunds that are capable of doing what they were originally bred to do, along with happy, outgoing temperaments, that are healthy, sound, typey and mostly, loving companions. Our dogs are very much loved members of our family with a lot of our time devoted to them, we would also expect the same of our puppy buyers.
There is a Questionnaire to be filled out if you have decided you would be interested in a puppy from us, please contact us to obtain this form. Think about what characteristics/traits will suit your lifestyle, remembering that your new little family member will hopefully be around for 12-14yrs. I would also want to meet you/your dogs if at all possible and you meet my dogs.
The placement of any puppies bred by us at Finnesse will not be taken lightly and screening puppy buyers to find the correct homes is an absolute must. Whilst every effort will be made, there are no guarantees there will be a suitable puppy for you, it will depend on a number of things, nor will there be a guarantee of your puppy becoming a winning 'show dog', first and foremost they should be a loving member of your family.
Any puppy sold on the Mains Register will be in co-ownership with me and all others placed on the Limited Register will have a desexing clause included in the contract.
I am happy to provide as much support and advice as I can when needed. I would hate to see a dog I bred rehomed but if under ANY circumstances you felt you had to give up your puppy/dog I would naturally want him/her returned to me so I can find an appropriate suitable new loving family.
* All puppies will be ANKC Pedigree registered and come with -:
